The cable car Klausberg is one of the most exciting ways to get a marvellous view on the breath-taking landscape. One of the 800 extraordinary castles in South Tyrol is Castle Taufers in Ahrntal valley: Castle Taufers was constructed directly on a rock spur at the beginning of the Ahrntal valley and with its towers, drawbridge, armoury, knights’ hall, battlement parapet, chapel, library, dungeon and torture chamber it would be the ideal location for any fairy tale ... The major waterfalls in South Tyrol – the Rein falls!

A lot of water flows down in high flow from three waterfalls – one larger and more powerful than the other. The falls of river Rein are without doubt the most impressive in South Tyrol. The highest of the three waterfalls has a vertical drop of 42 meters. The waterfalls are accessible from Sand in Taufers from an easy hiking trail and offer an unforgettable spectacle of nature!
